Continuing Education. We offer a variety of  continuing education alternatives to suit the needs of individuals, groups and health care businesses. Our courses, on a broad range of interesting topics, are available online and onsite in classroom settings. By offering this quality education with so many options, we have made health care education more accessible and more affordable than ever.

CNA Competency Exam Review. We offer the CNA Competency exam review to groups and individuals who prefer self study for exam preparation.

First Aide/Adult CPR. Our CPR instructors are certified by the American Heart Association to teach First Aide (4 hour course) and CPR (3-4 hour course) . Courses offered include:

Healthcare Provider Course:  For those employed in the health care field, awarding a 2 year American Heart Association Certification. This course includes use of Barrier devices, use of the automated external defibrillator (AED), and performing CPR & Heimlich Maneuver using the one and two man rescue techniques for adult, child and infant.  The courses can be adapted to meet the needs of the group.     

 Heartsaver Courses for Adult and/or Pediatric with 2 year certification include the AED training.

CPR in schools, Family & Friends courses also available at group rates.

Patient Care Assistant. Looking for an entry level nursing care course?  This is where it all starts!  Learn the skills and information you will need to gain North Carolina employment in the Assisted Living and/or Group Home environment as a PCA. The course is approved by NC Division of Facility Services, including RN instructor, classroom, clinical experiences, and eighty hours (80) to completion and certification. Strongly recommended for students who have no prior patient care exposure but plan on taking the NC CNA 1 Competency Exam at a later date. 

Medication Aide. Entry level training in becoming a medication aide.  Positions are available in the Assisted Living and/or Group Home environment.  Includes a Home Study component prior to classroom instruction of two days, learn the skills and responsibilities of recording MD orders, administering insulin, proper medical record documentation, recognizing medication side effects, as well as getting registered @ completion to take the NC State Med Tech Exam 0) completion.  
 

Family Caregiver Services We strongly feel that there will never be enough licensed caregivers to meet the growing demand. Therefore we provide continuing education for family caregivers online.
